Congratulations on your New Hot Tub! Let's Get Ready!

Don’t let us get caught in your SPAM! We will be emailing you the specifications for your new spa.

Delivery Preparation

  • Your cover lifter will take a few inches on each side for the hardware, and 5″–20″ (maybe more) behind the spa for your cover lifter. Make sure this is clear.
  • The front side of the spa must have at least 24″ of access, plus access up the sides so the corners can be removed to access the service panel for Sundance Spas. This spans the entire side with the control panel, top to bottom. Service Access is required for any service work; we will not provide access or go under decking to access equipment. If we can’t access it, we cannot fix it. If you are vaulting or recessing a spa, please see below under “Guidelines for Recessing a Spa.”
  • The majority of spas are delivered on their side. The same goes for removals. We will need the height of the spa +2″ for the width when delivering on its side. Overhead clearance needs to be the width of the spa +2″ at a minimum. Please measure and advise if there are ANY concerns ASAP. We don’t like surprises any more than you do, and we want to ensure this goes smoothly for everyone involved. Please measure for eaves, trees, gas meters, gates, air conditioners, steps, or anything that isn’t flat we may need to prepare for. Photos are always helpful!
  • If you do not have access, please let us know where you want this installed so we can get a quote for a crane for you. We are happy to get the quote and facilitate the delivery, but you are responsible for remitting payment to the crane, as with anything outside of the scope of the normal backyard delivery.
  • A friendly reminder that we cannot fill up or hook up the spa on delivery, but we will be sure it is ready in all other regards.
  • All portable spas do require a solid foundation, so the spa is supported 100% evenly throughout the base.
  • The balance is due on delivery unless financed. This can be made via check or through our online portal with a credit card at champagnespas.com/make-a-payment/.
  • Please find your electrical specifications for Sundance Spas in the Pre-Delivery Guide, or for Artesian Spas in the Owners Manual sent to you. Please reach out to Champagne Spas if you do not have this information. We will also provide your specifications to help with electrical and delivery preparations.

Guidelines for Recessing (Vaulting) a Spa

  • Vault needs to have concrete floor and concrete sides.
  • Vault needs a sump pump for any water collection.
  • Foundation needs to be solid and support the entire spa evenly (please don’t concave it inwards towards a drain).
  • The front side of the spa needs to have a 24″ trap door that spans the entire front side (top to bottom) to allow access to the equipment if needed. All Sundance Spas will need access about 8″ back on each side from the front so the corner panels are removable.
  • Vault needs to be approx. 2″ bigger than spa on the other 3 sides to allow access to drop the spa into place.
  • Electrical can enter the spa through the right side (towards the front) or the left side (towards the front). Please see tech specs attached for conduit ports; connection will be made under the control panel.
  • Customers are responsible for providing access to any side of the spa that may need service at the time of the service call.

Common Questions

This will help us determine which cover lifter the customer can use. If you are building a deck (wood) up to the lip of the spa, we can drill into that with a different bracket and accommodate one lifter (Cover Mate 3 with deck mount brackets). If you are using another type of vault to build up (i.e. stone, tile, concrete) we can’t drill into that and can possibly talk about leaving a gap for the lifter.

Please keep in mind that if we need access to any side of the spa, it is the consumer’s responsibility to provide this. If you do wish for a cover lifter, these mount to the sides of the spa, so this would have to be above ground enough to accommodate the lifter chosen.
